Cadbury chocolate flapjacks

I made these this weekend. They were gooood!


250g Porridge oats
125g Unsalted butter
75g Demerara sugar
3 Tablespoons golden syrup
115g Cadbury chocolate


Preheat oven to 180°C (160°C for fan ovens) and line tin with baking paper.

Heat the butter, sugar and syrup in a saucepan until the butter is melted and the sugar has dissolved.

Stir in the oats.

Put the mixture into the tin and spread it out, pressing it flat with a spoon,

Bake in the oven for about 30-40 minutes until the flapjack is light golden brown.

Remove from the oven and leave in the tin to cool slightly, then melt the chocolate. I melted mine in the microwave in short bursts, then drizzled it all on top - mmm! Cut into sqaures and enjoy :)
