Bath & Bodyworks Mahogany Teakwood

Let me introduce you to the most beautiful-smelling candle I have ever owned.

If you're familiar with the smell of Abercrombie & Fitch, then you'll know what I'm on about - yes, this smells pretty much exactly like the 'Fierce' cologne.
I first heard about this candle ages ago - I think a friend told me about it - they're not the cheapest of candles (although there are more expensive ones - I'm looking at you, Neom and Diptyque) but I found this large three wick one for £20 free delivery (and delivered to the door as the guy works at Heathrow so dropped it round on his way!) on ebay...bargain, I think! I only received this on Monday but am trying to make it last as long as possible. Luckily the scent lasts pretty well - when I got back from work on Tuesday my bedroom still smelt of it from burning it Monday night! It is seriously heavenly.
It's my birthday next month and I'm putting this candle on my wishlist 100x over. Think I need to stock up! Must be love.

Nails - The Little Mermaid.

You're never too old for a bit of Disney. I have a few favourites, but if I had to pick my ultimate it would probably be The Little Mermaid. I wanted to BE Ariel when I was 5. Hell, nearly 23 years later, I still do.

So when I was browsing ebay for nail art supplies and came across some Disney-themed nail decals I had to get some Ariel ones. I actually got these sometime last year, and can't seem to find the seller. But there are other similar ones available.

I'm still in awe of my Jessica Hologram Chic nail polish. It's difficult to capture how pretty it is. I added some block colours and dots using Models Own Apple Pie, Blooboo and Utopia, with Ariel on my ring finger. The decals are applied by soaking in water for a few seconds, slipping the transfer off the backing and then placing on the nail. Wait for it to dry (it can take a while, but it leaves you ages to place it exactly where you want it) then apply a top coat. It's so easy. I find water decals a lot easier to apply than nail wraps.

DIY personalised porcelain.

I have to say, I was a bit aprehensive when I saw this on pinterest. It seemed a bit too good to be true - just use a sharpie to draw on a porcelain mug, then bake in the oven for 30 minutes. Well, I tried it and I was right to be aprehensive. My design rubbed off as soon as I scrubbed it.

So that's when I decided to buy myself a few porcelain pens - designed to be used on porcelain, and there's no need to bake! Just wait a few days for it to dry fully, and it's dishwasher-safe too :)

So all you need is the pens and a porcelain mug [or dish, or whatever!] - I got both from hobbycraft, but ebay is good for the pens and you can pick up a mug for cheaps in a charity shop. I think this is a great gift idea - keeps the cost down, and you can personalise it to the person's tastes.

Recent purchases - vintage, h&m & personalised rose gold

Just a few things I have aquired recently.

The mint green blouse is vintage [1970s], a great ebay find. Been after a shirt this colour for a while, so was pleased to find it!

Lots of love for rose gold with the shoes from h&m [£7 in the sale!] and the personalised necklace from a lovely little shop on etsy. Might do a seperate post on the necklace;I'm so happy with it!

And then I had a bit of a splurge Saturday - bought this burgandy jumper in h&m [couldn't find the coral one on my wishlist, still on the look out!] and the socks are Topshop [obviously].

What have you been buying lately?

Recent purchases.

I got a tax rebate [woohoo], most of it has been put into savings but I have spent a bit of it...why not..

First I had a splurge on the Topshop website. My order came today.

Sheer stripe shirt, nail polish in Butterscotch Babe and nail art pen in Frozen.

I don't own many sheer things, and have always lusted over these kinda shirts. So when I saw this in the sale I grabbed it. Love the fact it comes with a belt - bonus! Never tried Topshop nail polish before so looking forward to giving this gorgeous shade a go, and after seeing Gem's post on the new Topshop nail art pens, I decided I had to try one out for myself! I've had a go with it and am quite impressed so far.

And I've also bought a couple of lovely chunky rings.

The arty imitation ring is from dixi, I really like the colour of the stone and think it makes the ring a bit different to some of the ones you see around. The leopard ring was an ebay find, I won it for about £2!

Now I must try to save my money..well, on clothes etc, that is. I still need to buy a present for my boyfriend's parents, and I have a couple of Christmas events coming up - starting with my work's do tomorrow night. Looking forward to it! Have a lovely weekend everyone. x

[edit] Just a reminder that the 20% discount code for my shop ends midnight tonight [Saturday 10th]. Just enter MISTLETOE at check out. All my jewellery comes wrapped up like a gift, so it's perfect if you're getting a present for someone! Free shipping still going :) [/edit]
