Snapshot Sunday #8

 photo e615a4df-bd40-47b4-a023-4a895e1361a9.jpg

This Bank Holiday Weekend has so far seen me do some holiday shopping, go to the Harry Potter Studio Tour and have more cuddles with my beautiful nephew.

I went to the HP Studio Tour with Ben's Mum, and we had such a great time. The only disappointment we had was the fact there was no butterbeer :( There was something wrong with the water/machine so they were unable to serve them.
It's animal week there this week - I'm a bit animal-mad, especially when it comes to cats (erm, that's an obvious one) and the fact there were KITTENS there made it all the more exciting. I had my photo taken with Hedwig, bought a chocolate frog and took a million photos. I'm sure we missed a few things as there was so much to see, so we plan to go back sometime. And hopefully get to taste butterbeer...

How is everyone else's weekend going? It's nice to see some sunshine again - a rare occurance for a bank holiday!

Snapshot Sunday #6

Beautiful Rosie cat has appeared on my blog again!

Today marks one week until my nephew is due. It's fair to say I am extremely excited, and every time the phone rings I wonder if it's my brother Tom saying Suzie's in labour...

Ben and I went for a wander in London yesterday - wasn't the best weather for a walk through Hyde Park, but I got pretty new bedding from Primark which nearly made up for it. I actually cannot stand Oxford St Primark. I had planned to try to get a few bits for my holiday but only came away with some jelly flip flops. I guess it's a blessing in disguise as you can end up spending so much money on so much tat!
We had lunch at Ed's Diner. Being a vegetarian, there wasn't all much choice for me, but I did really enjoy the 'Beanspice' burger I had, along with sweet potato fries. And we both devoured a big jug of banana milkshake each, which was absolutely amazing. Best milkshake I've ever tasted.

Today we went for a little game of crazy golf, followed by a cider down by the river. The sun has been coming and going today - I'm hoping it will do a better job of shining tomorrow!

How has everyone been spending the long weekend? So nice thinking no work tomorrow too!

A few post pay day treats...

I posted the clutch in a wishlist a while ago, and I hadn't really planned to buy it - given the price and all. But I kept thinking about it, so I figured I should just get it! I'm pleased I did. I love it!

The cat print skirt is from River Island, but I ordered it from asos as it was £3 cheaper on there!? I also used a discount code so managed to knock another couple of quid off! It's so pretty, and I love the cute little belt.

I got sucked into the novelty of scented nail polishes, taking advantage of Boots' 3 for 2 offer and snapping up Models Own Apple Pie and Grape Juice. They smell pretty nice, but even if they didn't it wouldn't matter - I love these ice cream shades. I also got the Bourjois magic nail polish remover.

What have you been buying?

Black velvet wedged high tops

As much as I tried to resist, I've been well and truly sucked into the wedged high top trainer trend. I recently posted a wishlist, showing some Topshop ones I really liked, yet thought were a tad too expensive. After losing out to some during a bidding war on ebay, I searched on 'buy it now'. And came across these beauties from this seller...which look a lot like the Topshop ones!

I haven't worn these out yet, but they are so comfy and seem like good value for money, at just under £30. They probably aren't as good quality as the Topshop ones, but you get what you pay for and I'm really happy with them!

And here's a bonus shot of my amazing new tights...

Nails - feline festive

I couldn't resist a play on words for this post...I am definitely feeling festive, and had to paint my nails a little bit Christmassy this weekend!

I posted these cat nail stickers from Janchristie a couple of months ago and when I saw these Santa hat ones on the website I just had to order some.

I used essie Absolutely Shore as a base and applied these to my thumb nails and did a Christmas lights design on my finger nails, using my Models Own WAH nail art pen and Models Own Raspberry Crush and Topshop Green Room for the lights. Last Christmas I did a gift wrapped design on my nails so I want to try a couple of different things this year and Christmas lights was one of them. And I just LOVE the Christmas cats! Obviously!

With only a couple of weeks until Christmas I am feeling pretty organised. I only have a few more gifts to buy and have started my wrapping! I am planning to do some Christmas baking soon, ahhh I just love this time of year!

Nails - cat!

A little bit late posting these photos, but I just HAD to share my nails from last weekend. I was so excited to find these cat nail art stickers - I actually discovered them a few months ago, but only just got round to buying some [God knows why!]. I purchased them Friday afternoon, and was very lucky as the seller was just off to deliver some other orders - so my stickers arrived on Saturday.

They are so easy to apply [they come with full instructions] and, being a big cat lover, I got ridiculously excited over having a CAT on my NAIL.

I also used my new GOSH nail polish in Miss Minty, which is a new favourite of mine. The perfect 'Tiffany Blue'.
